Our Products Overview

CPSI is a specialty pharmaceutical company engaged in developing and manufacturing controlled-release drug delivery products with a strong focus in the area of women’s health. CPSI currently generates revenue from its FDA approved cervical ripening product, the Cervidil® vaginal insert (note: generally marketed under the trademark Propess® outside North America).

The Company continues to develop a strong pipeline of women’s health care products. CPSI currently has three women’s health related products (the Misodel™ vaginal insert, the C-Vad™ vaginal insert and the Premis™ vaginal insert) in clinical development. These products have anticipated applications in such areas as labor induction, bacterial vaginosis and cervical softening.

In addition to its women’s health care products, CPSI also owns the rights to an assortment of development compounds and targets. These technologies include CPSI-2364, macrophage migration inhibitory factor (MIF), Next™ nuclear importation inhibitors and inducible phosphofructokinase-2 (iPFK-2). The Company has conducted clinical or preclinical studies with some of these technologies in areas such as, psoriasis, Crohn’s disease, ERCP-induced pancreatitis, arthritis, septic shock, colitis, glomerulonephritis, diabetes, multiple sclerosis, HIV and various cancers.

The Company also has developed the Pilobuc™ buccal insert, which is currently licensed to Marillion Pharmaceuticals, for the treatment of xerostomia (dry mouth).
