 | Dennis F. Willson Mr. Willson is one of the founders of CPSI. He began his career in the pharmaceutical industry as an attorney with Abbott Laboratories, later training in various marketing and financial positions at Abbott’s Argentine subsidiary. He moved to Rorer International in 1985, where ultimately he held the position of Managing Director of Rorer Spain. Following the merger with Rhone Poulenc, Mr. Willson left Rorer to join Carrington Laboratories in Dallas, where he served as Executive VP for two years before coming to CPSI. He served as Vice President of Business Development for CPSI until June 2002, at which time he was appointed to his current role as President and CEO. |
 | Barbara L. Powers, MSN, Ph.D. Dr. Powers joined Cytokine PharmaSciences, Inc. in February 2004, as Vice President of Clinical Development. She brings a wealth of international experience in both the healthcare and pharmaceutical industries to the company. Dr. Powers began her career as an obstetrical nurse, spending 9 years working in labor & delivery, followed by 3 years as a pediatric nursing instructor. Her career in the pharmaceutical industry began with a move to Rorer Group in 1986. When Rorer merged with the French company, Rhône-Poulenc, in 1991, Dr. Powers was given the opportunity to expand her operational abilities beyond the US. During her 14 years at Rorer and Rhône-Poulenc Rorer (now Aventis), she held positions of increasing responsibility, leaving there as Assistant Director of Clinical Operations with worldwide responsibility for CRA operations in 6 therapeutic areas. After leaving Aventis, Dr. Powers worked as an employee or consultant head of Clinical Development for several start-up and biotechnology companies, including Neuron Therapeutics, Neuronyx, Seacoast Technologies, and Palatin Technologies. |
 | Vidal F. de la Cruz, Ph.D. Dr. de la Cruz joined Cytokine PharmaSciences, Inc. in August 2001, as Director, Preclinical Research. He became Vice President, Business Development in December 2004. Dr. de la Cruz has been responsible for project management and scientific research at several biotechnology and pharmaceutical companies, including MedImmune, Cortech and Roche Vitamins. His principal areas of expertise include vaccine discovery research, technology assessment and licensing, peptide phage display and lead compound identification. Dr. de la Cruz holds a Ph.D. from U.C.L.A. and completed his postdoctoral training at The National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases of the National Institutes of Health. He trained as a cell and molecular biologist and has over 20 years experience in preclinical research and discovery. Dr. de la Cruz has several patents and has published in professional journals that include Nature, Science and Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences (USA). |
 | Thais Sielecki, Ph.D. Dr. Sielecki joined Cytokine PharmaSciences, Inc. in April 2003 as Director of Medicinal Chemistry. In January of 2007 she assumed responsibility for research. Dr. Sielecki has over 15 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry, having held research positions at DuPont Merck Pharmaceuticals and Bristol-Meyers Squibb. She has worked on projects at all stages of research and development from early assay development through Phase II and Phase III support. She has actively participated in projects in neuroscience, cardiovascular, oncology, and inflammation. Dr. Sielecki received her Ph.D. from Colorado State University working in the field of asymmetric synthesis under the guidance of Prof. A.I. Meyers. She completed post-doctoral work at Stanford University working with Dr. Paul Wender. Dr. Sielecki has over 50 patents and publications in leading peer reviewed journals. |
