Premis™ Vaginal Insert
CPSI is also developing Premis, a controlled-release vaginal insert for cervical softening in advance of certain transcervical procedures. There are many gynecological procedures that require uterine access, including diagnostic hysteroscopies, endometrial biopsies, endometrial ablation, transcervical sterilization and insertion of an intra-uterine device (IUD). The complications that can occur during cervical entry include pain, cervical tears, bleeding, creation of false tracts and uterine perforation. These complications may be reduced if the cervix is softened and dilated prior to the procedure.
CPSI is seeking licensing partners for Premis around the world.
